GARLAND PRESS
For memorials & celebrations of life

A life, told by everyone who shared it.

Family and friends each write one short memory - the ordinary days as much as the milestones. We gather them gently, at whatever pace people need, and bind them into a book the family will keep for good.

An ordinary afternoon

Her kitchen table

Every visit began the same way: the kettle on before you’d got your coat off, and a chair pulled out that you hadn’t realised you needed. She could hold a whole family together with a pot of tea and the right question.

It was never just tea, of course. It was the way she remembered the thing you’d mentioned three visits ago and asked after it before your cup was full - as if the weeks in between had simply been an interruption.

I still set the table the way she taught me, and think of her every time.

— Tom, her grandson
